Absolutely!  If you are paying via your NDIS package please ensure your service provider, coordinator or plan manager is aware of our payment options (under How Do I Pay? above) and you have arranged the relevant support to access these funds before attending your Horse Wisdom Equine Assisted Learning session.

A quarterly report can be arranged for your service provider at an additional cost.

At Horse Wisdom Equine Assisted Learning we believe as part of our philosophy to celebrate the exploration of non-traditional learning, which facilitates the development of physical and emotional connection to others and the natural world, you should not be rushed.  An hour per session is perfect timing for each appointment.

We do!  If you'd like to purchase a Horse Wisdom Equine Assisted Learning session as a gift, please do so here.

Please direct your gift recipient to this site, to ensure they make a booking that suits them and complete all the necessary paperwork.  It is important that the participant uploads their received gift certificate on registration as acknowledgement of payment.

Donations are very welcome.  Your kind donation to Horse Wisdom Equine Assisted Learning will aid in feeding our horses, maintaining our yards and contribute to everything else that goes along with assisting those that require our services.  You can donate here.

Horse Wisdom Equine Assisted Learning is a non-riding program.  Our sessions focus on creating positive and memorable, personal experiences, connection to the horses, self-exploration, grounding and centring our own emotions whilst learning to read the emotions and behaviours the horses may be reflecting back to us.

Please refer to the Prepare for Your Session page.  If we don't have the answer to your question there, continue viewing the frequently asked questions or email us at horsewisdom01@gmail.com

Each Horse Wisdom Equine Assisted Learning session runs for approximately 1 hour.  Your first session we allow for an extra 1/2 hour to ensure your paperwork is completed, go over any of your goals and any concerns before we start, as well as the safety expectations for all participants and animals.

Horse Wisdom Equine Assisted Learning sessions are conducted outside on a small, rural, property of 20 acres in size.

Upon arrival please park in front of the dark coloured shed at the end of the gravel driveway.

We will initially be using the area on the eastern side of this shed.  There is a rail for horse tie up and a grass area for the horses to graze.  These areas are used for grooming and observation sessions.

All photographs on this website are of the property.

If you require support to access the property or to take part in the physical aspects of the Horse Wisdom program, please contact Kellie to discuss your individual needs.

Toilet facilities with disability access are available on the premises.

Basic tea and coffee station is available with full cream milk.

Bottled water is supplied for all participants.  Tank water suitable for drinking is available for refilling own bottle purposes.

An undercover outdoor space with seating is provided for up to two (2) guests in addition to the particpant.  We encourage parents, carers and/or guardians to enjoy the surrounds, and relax during the participant sessions.  It is benefical for the participants to know you are near by if you are needed.

You will be outside in the weather, so please:

  • bring a hat,
  • wear sunscreen,
  • wear fully enclosed shoes, and
  • wear long pants and a shirt (with sleeves is preferable).

If you arrive for a session in thongs, slides, sandals or barefoot, unfortunately you will not be able to interact with the horses in anyway for safety reasons.

Your valuables can be left in your car or stored safely on the premises during your session.  You will be requested to turn off your mobile phone and/or iPad for the duration of the Horse Wisdom Equine Assisted Learning session.  It is preferable you do not carry either with you during the session.

The Facilitator and Volunteers are not riding coaches and therefore, no riding lessons, trail riding or mounted sessions are offered as part of Horse Wisdom Equine Assisted Learning.

The Horse Wisdom Equine Assisted Learning venue is also our private home.  Unfortunately, we don't allow people to call in without an appointment or a booked session.  We ask that you be respectful of our private time.

If you are not able to attend your Horse Wisdom Equine Assisted Learning session, please contact Kellie at least 12 hours prior to your appointment time.  Cancellation fee will not be charged in this instance.

If you give less than 12 hours notice of your inability to attend, you will be charged a 50% cancellation fee.

If you do not arrive for your session and do not give notice, you will be charged the full session fee.

If the weather is very wet, windy or extremely hot, you will be contacted as early as possible by text message, to confirm the cancellation.  If Horse Wisdom Equine Assisted Learning cancels your session due to inappropriate weather you will not be charged for the session.

We will try our best to organise a make up session for a suitable time.
